The Venue
Rent The Highland.
Here at the Highland we have a variety of unique spaces that provide an exquisite atmosphere for you to host your next event. Our building is known as a gem of colonial beauty, full of vibrant seasonal flowers and a delightful herb garden. The Highland Meadow is our most popular rental as the only large, open space in the heart of the historic district of downtown Weaverville. Thanks to a recent community project, we now have a top-of-the-line irrigation system to keep our Meadow green and inviting all year round. The Meadow is the perfect setting for an out-door wedding or festival and is visible and accessible from Main St. You may also consider other areas of the Highland Art Center grounds as beautiful backdrops for your outdoor events.
The Gallery.
The Main Building and rear Members’ Gallery are available for event rentals. The restroom, kitchen and galley are accessible from the Rear Members’ Gallery as well as a door leading out into the gardens. Event deposit and insurance is required for all rentals.
The Studios.
All studio rentals offer a working sink, electric hook-ups and access to restrooms. Each studio is unique in its design and location on the Highland Art Center campus and grounds. Every studio artist receives his/her own page on our website, space in our Members Gallery to display their art and first consideration for an individual show in our Main Gallery. All studios are rented on a month-to-month basis at a minimal cost. Individual rental insurance is required.
